Essential guide to No. American Indian artifacts,culture

This is the 6th edition on North American Indian culture and artifacts by a true expert. It contains thousands of photos, mostly black and white, with some in full color. Lots of data on dozens of topics from arrowheads to pottery, baskets, beadwork, clothing, toys, weavings and jewelry. It includes a handy directory of dealers in Indian materials, arranged by state. Most items shown include their approximate value. A worthwhile addition to the library of everyone interested in North American Indian culture. Not just a picture-price guide, but a valuable reference.

Another must-have for the Artifact collector

I just wrote a review of the 12th Edition of the Overstreet Identification and Price Guide to Indian Arrowheads and mentioned the fact that a serious collector needs a number of different tools in his or her arsenal. Way before a loup�, an expensive (get them used lol) stereo laboratory-grade microscope (with great lighting), or $1,200 in your pocket on your way to an artifact show in your home town, you need two things. The Overstreet book (for ID as much as for pricing) and this book. In many ways -- especially when you expand your collection into beads, hardstone (like bannerheads), pottery, to clothing and to jewelry (including contemporary), this is a more meaningful and useful work. If you consider your collection more than an interesting hobby, and when you consider the pace at which the value of a typical high-grade artifact is growing, you should, the book will pay for itself 12 times a year. I strongly recommend this excellent reference resource.
