I like that each word has 4 other related words on ...

These are really handy for learning Korean vocabulary. I whip them out when I'm walking, standing in line, or whenever I have a few minutes in between tasks really. I like that each word has 4 other related words on the same flashcard, it makes for building links which helps me to remember words more easily. However, the sample sentences are terrible. Not that I they're grammatically incorrect or anything (that I know of, I'm only a beginner ^^), but the wording of the sentences just seems forced and unnatural, and they use English phrases, as in, instead of a sentence from Korean that they translate into English, it's an English phrase translated into Korean. As a language learner this really irks me. Especially since I learn better when words are put into context.

Other than that though, I really like this set and would recommend.

Love these flashcards

Love these flashcards. I had already begun learning the Korean language once I received these cards and they have been a great help. Especially the corresponding audio so I know the proper sound, and pronunciation. I love that there are sentences that show proper usage of the words presented and feel this has been such a helpful way to learn the language. Would definitely suggest learning the alphabet front ways and back ways and feel once you get a true grip on the alphabet and proper pronunciation of the alphabet first you will find these cards even more helpful.

great for building your basic vocabulary

These little cards are really neat; great for building your basic vocabulary. I love that the related words are on the cards too! They're made of high-quality materials and while you don't want to be too rough with them, I think they're nice to carry around with you to look over in your spare time.

However, I'm not sure if the sentences are very helpful, especially if your knowledge of grammar is lacking. Some of them just steem a little awkward.

The main change I would make to these flashcards is...I hate where the hole is punched! I know that's such a nitpicky thing but I wish the key ring went through the top left or something, not the bottom right. I feel like it messes with my whole flow! :P Otherwise I'm quite satisfied with this purchase.

The Best Immunology Textbook.

I have used this textbook since its first edition. The 12th edition is perhaps the best as it includes desktop materials as well as a informative text. As an immunologist and teacher for over 30 years, I find that the format of Roitt's Essential Immunology still to outweigh the others. The illustrations, of which the entire text is filled, as reliable and easy to follow. I recommend this textbook to all who ask me about finding a reliable state-of-the-art textbook on immunology.

About the Author

Turan G�nen received a BS and MS from Istanbul Technical College, MS and two Ph.Ds from Iowa State University, and MBA from University of Oklahoma. He has held positions at University of Missouri–Columbia, University of Missouri–Rolla, University of Oklahoma, Iowa State University, Florida International University, and Ankara Technical College; served as a design engineer and consultant in US and international power industries; and written over 100 technical papers and five books. An IEEE fellow and IIE senior member, he is currently professor of electrical engineering and director of the Electrical Power Educational Institute at California State University, Sacramento.

Excellent book

The book contains the full theory necessary for the electrical distribution networks (e.g the simplified voltage drop calculations which are not included in many books about power systems) but also the real applications (e.g. real transformer connections and capacitors installations). I believe that one of the reasons that this book is great is that one of its references is a book written by real engineers back from 1965, when the engineers knew how to make real calculations by hand and not by software. If you solve the examples and the exercises , you really feel that you deal with 'actual distribution engineering'. I enjoy it.
