I follow many homeschooling pages and groups on Facebook. Each day I see parents who are frustrated and ready to discontinue homeschooling. They either have kids with learning challenges, children who are acting out and uncooperative following stressful school experiences, or they are overwhelmed with balancing homeschooling, childcare, and work inside and outside the home. Many parents are encouraged when I recommend the Homeschool Journals and other products published by this company.
Several homeschool parents desire to structure their day and learning experiences differently from the traditional classroom setting, but they are not sure how to do it. The homeschool journals provide the framework for delight-directed learning. They help the parents to focus on progress (rather than worrying about their children performing "at grade level" for academic skills), guide parents in providing meaningful learning experiences, and help parents to focus on the process of learning and exploring. As the children share their enthusiasm about their topics, books, drawings, stories, and projects, the parents are also learning!
